We evaluate carriers using a consistent methodology regardless of affiliate relationship.

We review affiliate relationships annually and update rankings on policy changes.
How affiliate relationships work.
Beaconcover may earn a commission when you click through to an insurance provider and buy a policy. The commission is paid by the provider, not by you, and does not increase the price you pay. We route you to the provider's own quote form; we are not a licensed broker and we do not sell or bind policies.
Not all providers listed on Beaconcover have an active affiliate arrangement. Providers appear in our reviews and comparisons based on editorial merit, regardless of whether they participate in an affiliate program. Our ratings and rankings are determined by our published methodology, not by commission rates or affiliate status.
FTC compliance.
In accordance with the FTC Endorsement Guides (16 C.F.R. Part 255), Beaconcover discloses material connections — including affiliate compensation — on every page that contains a monetized outbound link. The disclosure appears near each affiliate link so readers can see it before clicking.
How we are compensated.
Compensation sources may include: cost-per-click (CPC) arrangements, cost-per-acquisition (CPA) commissions on policy sales, and fixed placement fees. Beaconcover does not sell guaranteed editorial placements; a provider cannot pay to receive a higher rating or a “Best for” designation.
Editorial independence
Beaconcover sets every carrier rating with a published five-dimension
scoring methodology, applied identically to every carrier we review.
We do not accept payment for placement, ranking, or a favorable verdict.
Affiliate commissions never change a score, a ranking, or a stated winner:
where a non-paying carrier beats a partner on the merits, we say so.
We re-review carriers and refresh rankings on a quarterly cadence and on
any material carrier policy change.
We are not a licensed insurance broker.
Beaconcover is an independent editorial website. We are not licensed insurance agents, brokers, or advisers, and nothing here is insurance, legal, or tax advice or a recommendation to buy any specific policy. Policy terms, pricing, coverage, and availability vary by state, profession, payroll, revenue, claims history, and individual underwriting. State legal requirements (including workers' compensation thresholds) change and vary by entity type — figures on this site are estimates pending verification, not legal advice. Always confirm current requirements with the state regulator and verify terms directly with the provider before buying.
